Mistaking Rush as the leader of the Republican Party makes about as much sense as confusing Howard Stern as the leader of the Democrats.

They're entertainers, you dipshits.

Rush is happier as Kingmaker. All the power and filthy lucre with none of the responsibility. All the dittoheads sportin' a chubby hoping he'll run for office and save the world had better take a cold shower. He's too damn lazy and selfish.

On the other hand, while I'm sure you're right, but there's also a purely free-market explanation:

Rush's salary is estimated at around $33 million a year or so.

A U.S. Congressman's salary is around $174,000.

Would you want to take a 99.47% percent pay cut?
