The fact that this is a “big story” in the blogging world while most of you probably have never heard of Pajamas Media is a testament to how completely they failed to back up their 2004-era boasting about bringing the media to its knees.

I recall all manner of boasting from right-wingers in 2004. Much of it has yet to come to pass.

I second the banality of Instapundit, and add that Reynolds does even his wingnutty readers a disservice. I don't recall the man once linking to Nate Silver during the '08 Election…instead, he treated his regulars to a daily dose of Gateway Pundit, Bob Owens, Malkin, and other assorted buffoons. It's pure right-wing validation, and it's pointless. And Reynolds is supposed to be a *scholar*, here.

How typical of the right to think that if they squeezed their eyes shut and wished really really hard they would be flooded with ad money. They don't feel it is necessary to be good when they believe they are right. They also can't be funny (no sense of irony or ability to laugh at human nature), can't write (talented people find repeating talking points too boring and only hacks are happy to regurgitate predigested punditry) and actively avoid thinking (for fear of being wrong or left behind).

Then they whine that the left thinks it's so cool and hip, when they're really the cool and hip ones. It's like an adolescence that never ends.
