I've lived in Atlanta for 26 of my 31 years of life. That includes 1 year in Orlando, and 5 years in Athens. So I can tell you, although you will definitely have to deal with a lot of dumb-ass conservative frat-boys at UGA, it's not all bad. The majority of the full-time residents of Athens-Clarke county are progressive. And, it gets better the closer you get to Atlanta. You are moving in to a blue oasis in a sea of Red.

Instead of asking, "Do you believe Obama was born in the U.S.," substitute, "What the fuck! Can you believe there's a darkie in the fucking White House?" it suddenly makes perfect sense.

I'm just wishing they hurry up and secede from the Union. Only this time, the North should let them go without a fight. They'll slip into 3rd world status in no time. Then we should erect a tall tall border fence along the borders, especially the Texas border; see how they like it once they're on the 3rd world side of the fence.

(Although I suppose we can make Athens an honorary northern town if it makes you feel better, Ed.)
