Initially it was my opinion that last thursday's debate required no commentary. However, in the next few days all of this has changed. Listening to the remarks made by Republicans trying to defend George Bush are beginning to confuse me (at best) and nauseate me (at worst).

The spin began promptly after the debate when men like former New York mayor Gulianni made comments that seemed to indicate that he had not actually watched the debate. I saw him give the same basic interview on several channels (including comedy central's "The Daily Show")
