GINANDTACOS.COM: FAIR AND BALANCED

It really pains me to defend Dick Cheney. Honestly. But voting against Martin Luther King day. For the record. The bill was proposing to make it a federal holiday when all but one state (Arizona) had already declared it a permanent state holiday. Arizona did so shortly after this controversy.

So really, Cheney voted as you would expect a "less federal regulation" conservative to vote. It was a meaningless piece of legislation that would have had absolutely no impact except to have the federal government tell the states they were required to do something they had already required themselves to do.

Flag on the field. Personal foul against Edwards. 15 yards, still first down.

With so many legitimate things to attack the man about, this just seems like a lot of people saying something for shock value without looking into it. It's sort of like saying Kerry voted to abolish certain weapons programs....without mentioning that Congress and President George H. Bush were unanimously in support of the proposal too.
