Just for fun: On the Great Soviet Encyclopedia, which detente (and Macmillan, and a lot of money) brought to Americans to read, translated into English but not otherwise altered, in 1973. It offers posterity an unusually thorough time capsule of the world as the USSR officially saw it. If you have access to a university research library there's a half-decent chance they have the set.
